Is School Funding Fair?

A report has been posted on Schoolfundingfairness.org.  It ranks the states across a number of metrics related to school finance.  A new interactive section allows for data exploration by state.  Texas ranked 43rd in spending per student in 2009, received a D for distributional aspects on funding (funding levels were higher in districts with fewer low-income students), and received a C for effort (related to the percentage of state GDP being invested in education).  You can use the data exlorer here: http://www.schoolfundingfairness.org/ia_reports.htm.
