How do Texas Schools Spend Their Money?

During the regular 85th Legislative Session this spring, voucher and school choice supporters implied that schools were wasting public dollars by clamoring for traditional public schools to face more competition. In addition, charter school proponents argued that charter schools spend money efficiently and, therefore, should receive more funding.  With an upcoming special session, these conversations will continue.  Moak, Casey and Associates has prepared two reports, "Tracking the Traditional Public School Dollar" and "Tracking the Charter School Dollar," that should provide information to make these discussions more accurate and meaningful.
